Database Designer/Engineer

vivid studios seeks a multifaceted database
  designer/engineer to participate in the development of wickedly
  cool, online (Web-based) interactive systems and services. A
  strong background in database design and programming is a prerequisite.
  Knowledge of and practice with a variety of database products
  (Oracle, Sybase, Informix/Illustra, etc.) are huge bonuses. The
  ability and, in fact, eagerness to work with a team is a must.
  Working knowledge of the Web, C/C++, Perl, Java, HTTP, and CGI
  are significant factors as well. A strong liver is optional.

  

  

  
HTML Scripters/BuildMasters

  
Ongoing need

  
vivid studios seeks experienced HTML Scripters/BuildMasters
  to work on skilled teams to create innovative, informative, and
  entertaining online experiences. Candidates must not only be
  experts in writing browser-independent HTML code, but also adept
  in coordinating the many elements that go into the creation of
  websites. Must have excellent writing and HTML coding skills,
  an attention to detail, lots of Net experience, and the ability
  to correctly estimate the effort needed to perform a job. They
  should also have enough knowledge of CGI programming and working
  within a UNIX environment to understand most of the programmers'
  jokes (as well as work on the server and modify scripts without
  fear of completely screwing everything up). Past experience as
  a production coordinator or managing editor within a publishing
  environment is a big plus. Please include URLs with cover letter.

  

  

  
Senior Web Developers/Engineers

vivid studios is looking for Web developers
  with expertise in Java, C/C++, and Perl programming. Work with
  other creative team members to create killer web-based software
  components for use in innovative, informative, and entertaining
  online experiences. Candidates must have Java, C/C++, and Perl
  expertise and experience (no dabblers please) and a background
  in traditional programming fundamentals, along with real-world
  experience with shipping products. Candidates also should have
  a wry, but coherent, writing style (you will write engineering
  specs); be fluent in UNIX, Macintosh, and Windows; have experience
  with HTML, HTTP, and CGI; be eager to learn about new technologies
  and emerging standards; be meticulous but not anal; and have
  a burning desire to develop interactions that are not only functional
  and useful but frequently clever and occasionally dazzling.

  
Ability to learn quickly and correctly estimate the time to
  complete a task are important. So is membership in a band with
  a really cool name but not a lot of airplay. Will settle for
  someone with large collections of CDs, Nerf(TM) toys, and bendable
  action figures, but only if you're willing to share them with
