Ryan has always had an interest in media. He studied Communication Arts with a focus in television and radio at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. When he moved to San Francisco in 1994 it was only natural to dive headfirst into the New Media revolution. He first started working on CD-ROMs and digital video and quickly transitioned to the Web, the newest media available. Ryan began work at vivid in June 1996. He currently is on the Macromedia Web Advisory committee and has guest lectured at the SF State Multimedia Program. He has worked on a variety of projects including NIKE, Bank of America, the Webbies, American Century, and Shark.com.

Ryan would like to remind all visitors to our website that he was the first (and really, the only) Ryan at vivid, unlike those candy-assed imposters who would claim otherwise.
