JoAnn Lofti
Information Designer

Caught somewhere between right and left brain, JoAnn spent her student years studying the fusion of art & technology which culminated in a degree in Integrative Art, and a thesis on "Chaos Theory & Postmodern Art" from Penn State University. Her design career began in Atlanta, GA at the Center for Puppetry Arts creating print media and photography. During a defining moment in which she shared a limo with (the) Kermit the Frog, she was advised to follow her lofty Lotfi dreams to New York. After completing NYU's program in Information Technology where she concentrated in user interface design, she moved to the Silicon Valley to begin her hi-tech career with push technology pioneer and start-up, Freeloader Inc. During mergers & buy-outs which finally settled into NewsEdge Corp, she designed news & financial interfaces for web and windows based applications such as NewsTopics, Netscape Business Journal, Microsoft IE4 NewsPage Channel, and various other enterprise products. JoAnn's latest opportunity was as user interface/usability specialist for Santa Clara based start-up, Encanto Networks, where she designed the user experience for e.go, an e-commerce hardware, software and service solution for small businesses. No matter where her work takes her, JoAnn is always sure to carry around her Creative Intuition Compass which faithfully guides her towards pleasant, effective people-centered design.

When not settling in as a vividian, JoAnn can usually be found capturing moments on her manual Nikon FE, performing yoga sun salutations, practicing scales on the violin, or searching for a four leaf clover, of which she has yet to find.
