Christopher Harmon Business Development Associate Chris came to vivid from Freerun Technologies, a Web Development and Wine Country Portal firm located in the Napa Valley. At Freerun, Chris was the Director of Business Development & Corporate Strategy, where he managed two of the company’s three major regions: Monterey (GoMonterey.com) and Sonoma (Sonoma.com). Among others, his clients included: Monterey’s Cannery Row, Beringer Wine Estates, Allied Domecq Wines, Silver Oak Vineyards, The Inn at Occidental, Hennessey House B&B, and Monterey Peninsula Inns. Prior to joining Freerun Technologies, Chris worked with KeyPoint Software, a firm specializing in Corporate Education and Intranet development for Fortune 500 companies. Chris was both an account manager for key clients such as Larscom and Hewlett Packard, and the Director of Corporate Education, where he designed, wrote, and taught courses, while also facilitating the ongoing training of KeyPoint’s staff of instructors. With vivid since September 1999, Chris Harmon plays numerous roles within the Business Strategy Group. As a member of the Business Development team, he helps vivid gain and articulate an understanding of client needs and objectives, contributing to a meeting of minds between vivid and potential clients. In this role, Chris is specifically responsible for guiding vivid’s RFP response process. Chris also has worked to support the Web Strategists in evaluating and understanding the business models of vivid’s clients. Chris received his BA in English Literature from UC Davis and a unique Inter-Disciplinary Dual-Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. Prior to jumping into the Internet world, Chris was a teacher at Homestead High School in English and Social Studies, and he coached high school Swimming, Water Polo, and Alpine Skiing. Chris
doesn’t have spare time – so we won’t bother discussing
it. When he is away from the desk, Chris devotes himself to being a family
man with his lovely wife and 2 year old daughter. Someday, he hopes to
get back to earlier indulgences like skiing (he was once on the Squaw
Valley Ski Team), public speaking (at one time he was pretty descent),
and high-country backpacking (though lately a good B&B seems more
appealing). Frankly, he wouldn’t mind a good game of pick-up hoops
or football either!
