Machiko Harashima
Associate Producer

In the summer of 1997, on the day after graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Machiko Harashima got in her car and started driving. She arrived in San Francisco with no real intentions of staying, but two and a half years later, there is no going back.

In college, Machiko was the newscaster at the university radio station, KUCB. She also was involved in reporting and producing for Newsteam Boulder on cable access.

Fresh out of college, her first job was at Ziff-Davis Television in the Talent and Booking Department. While working at ZDTV, she realized she wanted to contribute to the revolutionary multimedia scene in the City.

With the SF's cyber influence all around her, Machiko quickly became a web-savvy-geek. While creating her own web site, she wondered why she wasn't a Web producer professionally. So she scoped out the coolest and best web development company and submitted her resume to vivid studios. The rest is history in the making.

In her free time, Machiko loves to take pictures, take walks, see live music, write, eat sushi, dance, hug her friends, travel, practice zen, and truly take advantage of urban cultures.

Meet the rest of us.
