Ken Fromm Co-Founder and Corporate Affairs Ken Fromm brings his extensive background in software development, writing, managing, and teaching to the role of Corporate Affairs. His primary responsibilities are overseeing contract negotiations and working on the business side of projects. Ken has also directed company training and conference activities, including an intranet conference presented for a group of executives and IS directors from Times Mirror and several of its operating companies. Prior to co-founding vivid, Ken programmed for over 4 years under NeXTSTEP and wrote a book for Adobe on programming in Display PostScript. He has developed several object-oriented software applications and, at vivid, has overseen several complex Web development efforts including the network design for the Microsoft Windows95 Launch on the Web. Ken served as the senior writer and editor of Careers in Multimedia as well as a writer and co-editor of Multimedia Demystified. He is a frequent speaker at seminars regarding the roles, projects, and business models forming in the multimedia industry and is on the faculty of the San Francisco State University Multimedia Studies Program. Ken is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan with a BS in Computer Science. While at Michigan, he also found time to play fly-half on the club rugby team. True
to his always-in-motion nature, Ken is a fierce urban cyclist. If you
see a guy on a Yokota outpacing cars (or occasionally swearing at drivers)
somewhere on the streets of San Francisco, it could very well be him.
