David DeAndreis
Senior Producer

David is a native San Franciscan, raised on Russian Hill in the house his great grandfather built after the '06 earthquake. But his Frisco roots go even further back, to 1868 when his maternal great-great-great-grandmother came to the Barbary Coast from Ireland and settled into the once-all-Irish Mission District. Somehow convinced he was born in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, he has never lived anywhere else for more than three months.

Convinced there could be no better job than to work in television, David graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Broadcast Communications. But, after failing to realize his goal of becoming the youngest commissioner of the FCC, he turned his sites on new media. In 1989 David was offered a production position at a start-up company called Interactive Network (IN), the first commercially available interactive television company in the country. During his tenure at IN, David developed and produced over 15 interactive television games and advertisements, including Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and the ever popular Miss America Pageant. In 1994, David's advertising campaign for the Dodge Neon won him the New Media Award for Interactive Television Advertising.

Determined to put his scent on new media, he sent his resume to vivid and somehow it found its way to the top of some pile, and the rest, as they say, is history.

David spends most of his free time toiling the soil of his Potrero Hill garden, designing furniture or honing his culinary skills.
