Eva
Cohen Eva comes to vivid with a background in Fine Arts and traditional Print Design. She received a BFA in painting from The University of Oregon and an MFA in Visual Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. While living in Oregon and Chicago, she held a series of odd jobs that led her to 1185 Design in Palo Alto, California. After a two year stint as a graphic designer, she went to Parsons School of Design in NY to enhance her design education. Following a year of study at Parsons she moved to Chicago to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and study Visual Design, a mixed media program in which she could use her fine arts, design background and interest in multimedia. Her thesis project was an installation piece dealing with the visual metaphor of how people communicate through their own screens of experience. This piece mixed typography, photography, and QuickTime movies activated by touch. After two years in Chicago, she returned to the Bay Area to work as a graphic designer for Theatrix Interactive in beautiful Emeryville, California. Eva created all of the print collateral marketing materials and produced visuals for the Theatrix website. After two years at Theatrix, she moved on to a start-up software company, Shaman Corporation, in San Francisco. While at Shaman, she produced all of the print collateral materials. She also ventured into design and art creation for the product interface and the Shaman Web site. Eva
brings her varied visual experience to vivid to soak
up all that she can about on-line design and production. She continues
her own freelance design work, hiking in the great outdoors, yoga-ing
and figure drawing whenever possible.
